Forged Steel Globe Valve
Fig 14: Forged Steel Globe Valve

Product Overview

FAC Forged Steel Globe Valves are manufactured in accordance with BS 5352 standards. Designed for high-pressure services (Class 800 & 1500), these compact valves provide reliable throttling and shut-off capabilities for small bore piping systems.

Key Characteristics:

  • Compliant with BS 5352.
  • Forged Carbon Steel (A 105) construction.
  • Suitable for Class 800 and 1500.
  • Bolted bonnet design for maintenance.

Application & Function

Forged Steel Globe Valves are ideally suited for high-pressure steam, air, gas, and oil applications. They are commonly used where compact design and high strength are required.

These valves offer precise flow regulation (throttling) and positive shut-off. Their small bore size (up to 2") makes them perfect for secondary lines and instrumentation connections.

Design Features

Manufactured from forged carbon steel (A 105) to ensure structural integrity at high pressures. The bolted bonnet design allows for easy maintenance and cleaning.

  • Compact Forged Body
  • Outside Screw & Yoke (OS&Y)
  • Bolted Bonnet
  • Hardened Seat & Disc

Construction & Materials

The body and bonnet are forged from ASTM A 105 carbon steel. This forging process eliminates the risk of porosity found in castings, providing superior strength and reliability for Class 800 and 1500 services.
